Deep down inside, all of us would love to hit the jackpot or get paid lots of money without working for it, right?  Can you imagine sitting on your computer somewhere in the world for 5 minutes per day, and earning yourself a full-time income?  When I saw the 5 Minute Money Machines and the claims to teach you 5 minutes of work per day in exchange for a full-time income, I had to check it out.

As of this writing, the 5 Minute Money Machines hasn’t launched yet, but I want to show you what I’ve found so far about how it works and whether it’s a scam or legit.  Let’s take a look…

What is 5 Minute Money Machines? Product Overview

5 minute money machines review

5 Minute Money Machines is a product created by Mark and Vicky Barrett, two people who say they’ve been in the Internet Marketing industry for years, and are well known for delivering lots of claims like:

  • He could teach over-the-shoulder, newbie-friendly techniques to earn a full-time income with 5 minutes per day
  • He can teach a newbie with no money or technical skills to make $200+ per day
  • Making money online only requires minutes per day
  • and other similar claims

In their training, they claim to show you a method for earning a full-time income while working 5 minutes per day.  Doesn’t that sound cool?  It does until you begin digging into the reputations of the product creators.

Why I Did This Review

I write reviews of business opportunities to protect readers and website visitors and to help them make a good decision.  Some of the reviews I’ve written show some amazing opportunities to make money, and others, are a complete waste of time and money.  Regardless of how much you have, money is finite and can be used for so many things. I hate seeing people who earn their money ethically be scammed out of their money, so from time to time, I write reviews to share good opportunities, or to warn people of scams.

How Does 5 Minute Money Machines Work?

5 minute money machines reviewWhen scrolling over their sales page to get information about what they’ll be teaching, 5 minute Money Machines seems like a done-for-you Internet Marketing system, but it’s very vague.  They don’t give enough information to make an informed buying decision.  Instead, they appeal to the inner “lazy person” within everyone by making the claims that you can work for 5 minutes per day and earn a full-time income.

The details of what exact activities you’ll need to do aren’t available. For that reason, I did more research on Mark Barrett, and found a host of other products he’s created.

  • 30 Minute Mogul
  • Geared for Profits
  • 7 Dollar Tsunami
  • Perfect Affiliate Storm
  • Instant Cash Explosions
  • 60 Minute Paydays

When you look at all of his products, you’ll notice a theme:

  • Big money-No effort claims
  • Low entry initial offer
  • Lots of upsells

Even worse, when you hunt down the few people who have written a review on his products (aside from those earning a commission from sales), you’ll find negative reviews.  Reputable influencers like:

Ian over a Stopping Scams

Grace at Work Anywhere Now

John at The Scam Guide

According to reviews, Mark has a track record of creating 1-star products that are vague rather than “over-the-shoulder” and “comprehensive”.  As a result of the vagueness, some reviewers say the information within the course is similar to (or worse than) free information that can be found by simple Google searches.  His technique is to charge a low fee, so the perceived risk is low and people will buy, but low-cost shouldn’t mean you have to buy something that makes deceitful claims and doesn’t uphold the agreement, right?

With all of the products he has and claims they make, you would think he’d have several reviews of successful students, wouldn’t you?  Added to that, if he’s created bad products before and this is a better upgrade, why are the old ones still selling.  Shouldn’t he be improving those to make them better?

Based on his reputation alone, I’d stay away from purchasing his products if I were you, but I don’t want to make the decision for you.  Instead, here are some other facts…

How Do You Make Money with 5 Minute Money Machines?

According to one reviewer (a 5 Minute Money Method affiliate) who received a pre-launch copy of the product, the method you’ll be learning is using Solo Ads and signing up to Wealthy Affiliate–this is shocking!  Wealthy Affiliate’s program is so exhaustive, they demonstrate how 5 Minute Money Machines and all of Mark’s other programs are an obvious waste of money and time.

Aside from mentioning Wealthy Affiliate and solo ads, the review and the sales page for 5 Minute Money Methods was very vague.  They simply tell you it’s a good product and it will get you quick results, but leave you pretty much in the dark about the methods–this is no mistake.  Typically, when products are secretive like that and offer unclear descriptions, it’s a red flag to me because most scams operate like that–it’s manipulation that they’re doing.

They want you to feel like if you don’t buy the product, you’re missing out on a “secret” you won’t otherwise be able to find.  It’s all fake hype!  Don’t buy it because of the hype!  Treat it like you’re buying a phone or other product.  Would you buy a phone if they told you the specs (the camera quality, storage, battery, etc.) were a secret?

I think NOT!  You should expect specifics on a career or professional move because you’ll be spending considerable time on it (even if it’s 5 minutes per day!).

A Brief on Solo Ads

Solo ads are a method of buying email lists or sending emails to an established email list. The process of buying solo ads is very competitive.  There are good lists and bad lists.  Some people operate ethically and some people don’t, so if you decide to use solo ads, it costs you money and time to sort thru the good and the bad.  There are providers in places like Fiverr who offer to send traffic for as low as $5.  Unfortunately, people who have tried to use this as a solution find the traffic doesn’t convert into sales.

Let me briefly remind you that Mark said you wouldn’t need money or time, and it looks like you’ll need both to figure this whole thing out.  I’ve done tons of research and reviews on business opportunities, and I’ve learned, there’s really no shortcut to success online.  You have to help people and build a reputation, and that takes some time.

Paid traffic (whether solo ads or otherwise) can expedite the process of building site traffic, but there’s still some work that’s required on the part of the entrepreneur: you’ll need to deliver something (a product or service) that’s helpful to the audience and build a good reputation.  If you’ve never bought solo ads, it’s likely that a 30-minute training (like what Mark is offering) won’t be enough to explain everything to you.

Ideally, you’d want to know:

  • What are solo ads
  • How to identify a good solo ad
  • What’s ethical use versus not ethical
  • and so much more

Based on the reviewer mentioning that the course is 30 minutes to complete, I believe Mark has done what he’s done in all of his other products: created another vague training. I’d save my money on his 5 Minute Money Machines training and try out Wealthy Affiliate instead.  There’s plenty of training there about Solo Ads if you’re interested in that method.  Here are just a few (disclaimer: all the links take you to Wealthy Affiliate):

Solo Ads Good and Bad

Beyond that, for free, Wealthy Affiliate will give you loads of training (much more than 30 minutes or vague crap) that will teach you how to build a long-term and sustainable online business.

How Much Can you Make with 5 Minute Money Machines?

I’d venture to say that without patching severe gaps of information, you could not make any money with 5 Minute Money Machines. In 30 minutes, the program could not offer sufficient information to answer all of the necessary questions to teach someone to make a full-time income online.  There’s way too many questions a newbie would have, and they’d also need support as they’re going thru the process.

It’s good that Mark is offering weekly live training with this program, but his reputation for being “vague” would be my reason for not recommending attendance.

The Good & the Bad

The Good: He Recommends Wealthy Affiliate

The Bad:

CON #1: The author, Mark Barrett has a reputation associated with bad Internet Marketing products

CON #2: He has a 30-minute training on Solo Ads and much more training would be required to sufficiently teach the topic

CON#3: He makes deceitful claims, so people underestimate the requirements and may give up easier or take their results personally

Who is 5 Minute Money Machines For?

Due to the track record of Mark and his products, I wouldn’t recommend his products to anyone.  There are other instructors who can teach the information he claims is “secret” and they’ll be more thorough–one example is Wealthy Affiliate.

What’s Better Than 5 Minute Money Machines

As I mentioned previously, Wealthy Affiliate is a much better and more comprehensive system to learn how to make money online and how to start a long sustainable business.  Here are some basic reasons… there are even more reasons than this…

While the entry offer looks fairly inexpensive and harmless, once you pass that, you go into a maze of upsells that looks like this…

My Final Opinion of 5 Minute Money Machines

The goal of this review was to give a thorough look at 5 Minute Money Machines, so you can make an informed decision about whether to spend your money and time on this product (or others by Mark Barrett).  Unfortunately, I think 5 Minute Money Machines is another case of Mark Barrett using deceptive marketing and advertising methods and creating poor, vague training.  Hopefully, you’ve considered my perspective on this and why you should save your time and money.  Alternatively, you can learn very thoroughly and descriptively how to make money online, and try it for free with Wealthy Affiliate.  Check it out!
