If you’re looking for a thorough Deadline Funnel Review, you’re in the right place.

Many successful businesses know the power of terms like “limited time offer”, “limited seating”, or “limited editions”. Unfortunately, quite a few of the software options make you look gimmicky. Website visitors can click refresh, and the timer will restart or mess up altogether–this doesn’t leave a good impression of your company.

Studies show that people are more prone to procrastinate if there’s no deadline, no limit on the quantity sold, or no urgency required. For this reason, industries like education or sales make sure to have deadlines when they want responsiveness and timeliness.

It’s likely, if you’re here, you’re aware of the importance of scarcity in sales, and you’re trying to find ways to:

  • Present limited time offers and expiring links to prospective customers
  • Get more sales without needing more traffic
  • Send scarcity timers via email and add them onto web pages
  • Increase the conversion rate of your sales funnel
  • Track the sales and analytics in your sales funnel
  • Or, add a bit of scarcity pressure to nudge your customers to take action faster

Deadline Funnel is a software that helps entrepreneurs improve the conversion rates on their websites by adding scarcity, but that doesn’t mean it’s the right solution for YOU. In this Deadline funnel review, we’ll be looking at the pros, cons, and alternatives to help you decide if it’s the best solution for your needs.

What is Deadline Funnel? An Overview

Deadline Funnel is a software that adds scarcity timers to:

  • Websites
  • Emails
  • Pagebuilders
  • and, Funnel builders

It enables you to mitigate procrastination in your online funnel. With Deadline Funnels, you can set up limited time marketing campaigns with accuracy.

How Does Deadline Funnel Work?

Let’s say you’re running a holiday promotion where you’re running a sale on your products for two weeks.

Using Deadline Funnel, you can set up a campaign, and use the code and links to create a scarcity timer to include in your emails, and to post on your website that keeps your customers aware of the beginning and end of your promotion–this way they’ll know to take action with urgency.

How the Scarcity Triggers Work

One thing that separates Deadline Funnel from other software options is how you can trigger your scarcity campaigns. Not only does the timer display how much time is left for your promotion, but they also give you links that redirect and expire when your campaign ends. So, you can have several people presented with different timed campaigns simultaneously based on:

  • The day and time they join your email list
  • The day they open your email
  • When they land on a page on your website
  • Or even more custom triggers

Deadline Funnel Integrations

It’s likely that you’re already using software to make landing pages, collect payment, send emails to your customers, or to do content marketing. Deadline Funnel integrates with many software options, so you can trigger or measure your campaigns in collaboration with software you already use.

I was using Convertkit prior to adding Deadline Funnel. I had email sequences set up, and emailing my new subscribers. With Deadline Funnel, I was able to add a limited time offer that’s available only for a specified time after signing up to my email list, and improve the conversion rates to my offers.

Thru built in integrations and Zapier, you can start campaigns when:

  • New email tags are added
  • New purchases are made
  • Or, when a person lands on a specified web page

How do I Get Started with Deadline Funnel?

Deadline Funnel allows you to try before you buy. They have a 14-day free trial. During the 14 days, you can create a campaign, and decide if it helps to achieve your goals. If it does, you can continue using it. If you don’t see improvement with your campaigns, you can easily log on, and cancel your subscription.

Who is Deadline Funnel For?

Deadline Funnel is best for:

  • A business who has email optins set up
  • Those who have products and services sold online (even affiliate products)
  • Those who want to improve the conversion rates to their offers
  • And, those who have consistent traffic coming thru their sales funnel

Deadline Funnel Tools & Training

Deadline Funnel has training that demonstrates how to set up your scarcity campaigns and how scarcity can be beneficial to your sales.

Deadline Funnel Support

Nowadays, many companies have bad support. They want you to submit a ticket or email them, and you might not hear back for hours or days. If you’re running a business with time-sensitive things going on, having bad support can be a nightmare.

Luckily, with Deadline Funnel, they offer very fast and personalized support. Many customers rave about the support they get with Deadline Funnel.

My Experience with Deadline Funnel Support

I had questions about how to set up an affiliate limited time campaign while I was on my free trial. I submitted my question to the Intercom live chat system for support, and the owner recorded an audio tutorial explaining how I could complete what I was trying to do.

From experience, many companies won’t give good support unless you’re a paying customer (after the trial) or after you’re on their highest tier plan, but Deadline Funnel doesn’t work that way.

What does Deadline Funnel Do Well

  • The timer accurately tracks time, so you don’t look “gimmicky”
  • They provide great support
  • They have a proprietary software
  • They integrate well with many other software options (including WordPress, email marketing software, page builders, funnel software, online course software, and more)
  • They provide sales tracking and analytics, so you can watch how your funnel is performing

What doesn’t Deadline Funnel Do Well

  • It’s not a standalone software that can work without a website or email integrations
  • Sales tracking values aren’t automatically pulled from your shopping cart. Instead, you have to set the value for the sales tracking feature, so if you use coupons or offer sales, then the tracking may not be accurate (unless you manually edit for each promotion)

Deadline Funnel Review Roundup

If you’re in the market for countdown timers, and you’re considering Deadline Funnels, you’d probably want to know what other customers have to say. I’ve compiled the positive and negative feedback from Deadline Funnels customers to give you some perspective.

Common Positive Feedback

  • Website visitors are unable to game the timers
  • Time is kept accurately
  • People take your scarcity campaigns seriously

Common Negative Feedback

  • There are cheaper options but some of the features are missing

Most Helpful Positive Deadline Funnel Review

I also have a few evergreen deadlines on my website. For example, sometimes I will run an upsell campaign when someone opts-in to my email list. I will display a special offer that the person will only get that one time. Once the clock runs out, it is gone forever.

I’ve even had people enter their email addresses three or four times, trying to get the offer to come back, but Deadline Funnel makes sure they never see it again. When people know that your countdown timers are legit, they take you more seriously, and when you do offer them a special promotion, they’re more likely to take advantage.

Speaking of entering multiple email addresses, Deadline Funnel has the ability to track both email addresses AND cookies AND IP addresses. That means if someone checks their email on their phone in a Starbucks and then on their desktop at home, the timer will remain consistent. I thought that was one of the coolest parts of Deadline Funnel. It will keep the correct time, right down to the date, time, and even time zone.

Most Helpful Negative Deadline Funnel Review

Deadline Funnel’s lowest pricing tier limits you to 3 active countdowns. This could work for one single product campaign with an upsell, downsell, or cross-sell pages.  As soon as you need more timers, you’ll need to upgrade to $67/month package.

Deadline Funnel vs. Clickfunnels

Clickfunnels also offers software to help improve sales conversions, so you might be wondering which would work best for your needs. Some key differences is in the integrations. A Deadline Funnel timer can be put on any web page that uses HTML or Javascript (which is most). They can also be used in emails. Clickfunnels is a software suite, so their features are used mostly on their own landing pages and funnels, however, Deadline Funnels does integrate with Clickfunnels.

Deadline Funnels vs. Thrive Ultimatum

Thrive Themes creates WordPress plugins that help with sales conversions. I’ve owned the Thrive plugins for years now, and one advantage with them is the pricing. You can purchase Thrive Ultimatum for a one-time price, whereas, Deadline Funnels is a recurring cost.

Added to that, Thrive Ultimatum is a WordPress plugin so it has to be used with WordPress. It cannot be used in email, or on sales pages (that aren’t WordPress).

Depending on your campaign, Thrive Ultimatum may be sufficient, however, if you want email timers, and integrations on software (aside from WordPress), then Deadline Funnels is the better alternative.

Deadline Funnel Free Alternatives

If you’re on a tight budget, you might want to use a free countdown timer. I’ve tried one free option that works well. It’s called Mailtimers. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have the redirect capabilities that Deadline Funnels has, and the free plan comes with their branding, no evergreen timer capabilities, and a limit on how many timers you can use.

Deadline Funnel Price

At the time of this writing, Deadline Funnel has three pricing plans:

  • The Start plan – $49/mo for 3 Funnels and up to 1000 Leads/mo
  • The Create plan – $99/mo for unlimited funnels and up to 10,000 Leads/mo
  • The Scale plan – $199/mo for unlimited funnels and up to 100,000 Leads/mo (includes up to 5 client accounts)

My Final Deadline Funnel Opinion

I’ve been using Deadline Funnels for a few months now. I became a customer because I saw scarcity campaigns that went very well using the software, and I wanted to try it myself. So far, I’m very happy I signed up to Deadline Funnels. The support has been superb, the software works very well, and I plan to keep trying new campaigns, and improving my conversion rates on existing campaigns with the software.

Verdict: Recommended
