Kajabi Review Roundup
Here is a glimpse at what the market is saying about Kajabi in comparison to their competitors. Clearly, they are a market leader in the space, but there are still relevant alternatives.
I’ve compiled several reviews to help you to see what customers had to say about Kajabi. Hopefully, this can give you a glimpse of the benefits and limitations, and help you decide if Kajabi is a good fit for you.
Common Positive Feedback
- They’re constantly improving the software
- You don’t have to hack a million pieces together to get a functional business
- Email, landing pages, sales pages, shopping cart, website, blog, marketing funnels, online courses is all under one roof
- No one else scratches the surface in comparison to all Kajabi offers
- It’s very easy to make a very nice looking website
- Saves alot of time since you have everything together
- My monthly expenses have been cut because I was piecing things all together, and now, I have an all-in-one solution
- Clients love going to one place for events, courses, and everything
Common Negative Feedback
- It’s not as customizable as WordPress or some other alternatives
- It does everything, but it’s not the best at anything
- Some features that are available with software companies that specialize (like Convertkit, WordPress, or other learning management solutions, aren’t available with Kajabi)
- It can be difficult to get used to
- The onboarding process was good but the customer support afterwards was disappointing
- It’s pricey
- The learning curve is steep
- We had to hire someone to help us understand how to use it
- Sometimes clients cancel their Stripe payments and it doesn’t communicate to Kajabi, and they’re still charged
- They only offer two payment processing options: Stripe and Paypal. Additional options would be nice
- Not for tight budgets
- Would like to see a lower price option
- Wouldn’t be ideal for someone who wants to add products frequently because it’s priced based on how many products you sell
Most Helpful Positive Kajabi Review
“Great option for e-learning and automations”
Overall: I am very pleased with Kajabi. My monthly expenses are 50% of what I was paying having different platforms, and now I know that all my automations run smoothly.
Pros: That I could integrate almost all my business needs under one roof. Before Kajabi I was using other software for performing different tasks in my business. I am not a coder and integrating everything -and making it work!- was kind of a nightmare. Very time consuming. And I use to spend a lot of money. When I found Kajabi it was a life-saver. Email marketing, tagging, email automation, site creation, squeeze pages creation, e-learning platform, forms, surveys, it is an all-in-one solution. It saved me lots of time and money.
Cons: Some features need more depth, like metrics. They’ve done a lot of work regarding this, but there is still room for improvement. Also, they just integrate with Paypal and Stripe for payments. Being based in Latin America, I need also to be able to add the local payment gateway (Mercado Pago). I don’t see this happening in the near future from their side, and I am sure that I am losing money because of this.

Most Helpful Negative Kajabi Review
Overall: It is a nice platform and initiative to use. Just not right for me.
Pros: This is probably a great platform is you only want to offer a very limited number of courses. It’s built-in marketing features set this platform apart from many of its competitors.
Cons: Expensive if you want to offer a wide variety of courses rather than just a couple of courses. So it would not be ideal for a membership site where you want to add a new course every month or so.

Kajabi Price
As of this writing, Kajabi has 3 plans. Their basic plan plan starts at $109/mo and their highest tiered plan costs $399/mo. You can take a look at their pricing below…
My Final Opinion of Kajabi
Overall, I see why Kajabi is a major market shareholder in the sales automation and learning management space. They offer alot of amazing features. I’ve personally been using Podia since September, and I can see the value in having a solution that does several things in one.
Some things that make Kajabi stick out are the analytics, the webinar and live events, the trials and pricing options, the integrations of memberships, landing pages, and online courses. None of the alternatives offer all that Kajabi does. Instead, most others choose to specialize and give lots of features in one vertical.
I would recommend Kajabi for entrepreneurs:
- Who need all of the features
- Who don’t mind the price or learning curve
- Who are patching email marketing, webinar, online course, and membership solutions
- Who have experience with selling online courses (or selling online at all)
I wouldn’t recommend Kajabi for those who:
- Don’t have experience with selling online courses
- Aren’t confident you’ll be able to get a return on your money
- If you don’t have an audience who’s interested in buying from you
- It takes awhile to build an audience and develop the skills to serve them, so if this is your scenario, then I’d recommend you learning the preliminary skills and practicing in an environment with lower overhead costs–this way you can get a return on your money, and upgrade (to software options like Kajabi) once your sales can sustain it.
If you don’t have experience or you’re on a tight budget, I’d recommend you looking into alternatives with less overhead costs.
VERDICT: Recommended For Entrepreneurs who are Scaling up — Not for Startups Unless You Have a Startup Budget that can Sustain 12+ Months of Expenses (including Kajabi)
